3. Parking Information

A 650-car garage is located under Discovery Green park across the street from the GRB, and several privately owned surface lots surround the convention center. All are just a short walk away. Please refer to the PARKING MAP for lot locations, and check the Event Calendar for additional parking and shuttle bus information by event:

SOUTH – Convenient parking is available in the 1600-space Hilton Americas-Houston parking garage, as well as lots near the Holiday Inn Express on Chenevert Street.

EAST – Chinatown is located just east of the GRB and U.S. Highway 59. There are several parking lots open to the public, in addition to street parking.

WEST – 650-space underground garage directly across from the convention center. Several lots are located between the GRB and the Four Seasons Hotel/Houston Center. Houston Center has multiple parking garages available for convention center parking.

Take I-45 South> to I-10 East > to US-59 South (exit #770A)> exit Downtown Destinations-Hamilton Street > right on Capitol Street > left on Avenida de las Americas.

I-45 NORTH | COMING FROM GALVESTON, NASA, CLEAR LAKE, HOUSTON HOBBY AIRPORT

Take I-45 North > exit Downtown Destinations (exit #45) > exit Pease Street > right on Dowling Street > left on Polk Street > right on Avenida de las Americas.

US 59 SOUTH | COMING FROM KINGWOOD, HUMBLE, BUSH INTERCONTINENTAL AIRPORT

Take US-59 South > exit Downtown Destinations-Jackson Street > left on Franklin Street > right on Hamilton Street > right on Capitol Street > left on Avenida de las Americas.

7. Local Medical Care & Hospitals Information

The Texas Medical Center is the largest life sciences destination in the world. With 106,000 employees, 54 institutions, and thousands of volunteers and patient visits, over 160,000 people visit Texas Medical Center each day. Over the course of the year, the campus welcomes more than 7.2 million visitors.

The TMC is home to the renowned M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, the No. 1 cancer hospital in the world. Other major institutions include Baylor College of Medicine, St. Luke’s Health, Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center, The Texas Heart Institute and the University of Texas Health Sciences Center, just to name a few.

Houston’s MetroRail Red line runs right through the center of the TMC, making it easy for people to travel from the campus to Downtown, the Museum District, NRG Park and other parts of the city.
